Jacques Azibert inaugurates primary school in Luanda

February 26th 2016 will be remembered as the day of the inauguration of the first Margarita School, in Luanda (São Pedro da Barra neighborhood, Sambizanga district).

Total E&P Angola, in partnership with Sonangol and Block 17 associates, financed the project for the construction and furnishing[1] of this high school, which works with the support of the Education Ministry. Margarita School is managed by the ICAS nuns (Institute of Social Apostolate Coadjutors) and has 800 students enrolled in the current school year. This initiative strengthens the objective of improving the quality of education in the country.

Jacques Azibert, Total E&P Angola General Manager guided the inauguration entourage and during his speech reinforced the efforts of the Group on this subject matter: "…This is part of our commitment to this beautiful country and we want here to reaffirm our commitment to continuing to contribute to the development of Angola".

For Total, to support the youth in Angola continues to be a priority and education itself is the most effective tool for this purpose.
